My neighborhood contains treasures, and Sunnyside Conservatory is one of them.\u00a0 The remnants of a private estate, the conservatory building (a sort of enclosed gazebo) is surrounded by a palm tree collection and attractive landscape plants from around the world.\u00a0 And it’s just… on a busy street!\u00a0 In a residential neighborhood!\u00a0 Between normal houses!<\/p>\n
I’ve visited this tiny oasis many times, and finally took false color infrared images of it in December 2025.\u00a0 My dedicated digital infrared camera captured the scene in false colors (primarily pale blue for plants), and swapping the red and blue channels turns this glowing foliage to gold. That’s how I’ll present these here.<\/p>\n
