The limited Polaroid film supply for traditional Polaroid cameras inspired me to buy extra Yellow Duochrome the last time it was released. Polaroid’s new media doesn’t age well, so I recently gave up on hoarding it and went for a photo walk with my beloved SX-70.
Despite being a few years old, it had been residing in my refrigerator drawer, and the film performed well.
The company now calling itself Polaroid has decided it can make more money selling new cameras and film specific to those, rather than supporting the existing global inventory of legacy Polaroid cameras. I understand, but still think they are foolish for not trying to take more of my money!
