I write with enthusiasm about analog film photography, and still want to note: digital imaging also has many fine qualities.
This image was taken at a classic car club’s show at a diner in the Richmond district, which I happened to come across while scoping out movie theater marquees for a different project. My iPhone 13 Pro did a lovely job of capturing this particular, primary / tomato soup red so well… I still take outrageous quantities of phone photos (though I haven’t printed photo books of them lately, I still do have a blog devoted exclusively to these), and continue to be impressed with the sensors and programming that makes photos taken with phones look ever better.
I use my phone in situations where I used to use a clever little pocket 35mm camera. It does the job well!
